Early in the Morning the messengers were busy running through the City to deliver a scroll to the Ladies of Port Kar. Urgency was the pulse of the City, docks were crowded with sailors preparing to set sail while Admirals and Captains went over maps and manifests. Supplies came to the ships in droves to make sure the men of Port Kar would have everything they needed. Throughout the day one could look at the horizon of the Thassa and find their breath taken away by the beauty of sails snapping against the wind as Port Kar prepared to set sail. Majestic formations slowly pulled from the harbor to the open sea, the passionate cries of "HAIL PORT KAR!!!" heard across the water, spurring the activity on land to a hurried pace to make their way to sea
Ladies of Port Kar

As we all have heard our city is at a crossroads and our men shortly will be following a path that will make a difference in all our lives. Today the men of Port Kar sail to insure our safety and our freedom.
Already all over the city supplies are being gathered to insure our men have what they need to endure the forthcoming trials they will face.
Lady Marlo and myself ask all of you to go through your houses, prepare bandages and gather medical supplies so that we can send our men off from the docks of Port Kar with every possible advantage.
We are all a part of this, there is not a person in this city that will not be affected and it is our duty to insure our men have every advantage. The women of Port Kar can and indeed will set an example for the women of Gor. We will tell our enemies that we will stand by our men, that we will insure they have what is needed to give them victory.

Oh how we have made bandages and filled botas and bottles of sterile water as my sister Eliza had shown me before. The house is sometimes filled with tears or songs. We sing to keep busy when we are not trying to keep at work with our regular lives. I cant seem to paint right now. I have no desire to. I am so sad inside.
I hate war. I hate it sooooooo much. When will it all be over?
